Our President

With 28 years of experience in public education, Stephanie has served in a wide range of roles including paraeducator, custodian, classroom teacher, and most recently, director of Arrow Success Academy—Watertown’s alternative high school. Her career has been defined by a deep commitment to advocating for students and educators, ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

Stephanie Hageman begins her first year as President of the South Dakota Education Association with both honor and excitement. She has already traveled across the state, meeting educators, listening to their stories, and learning about their hopes and concerns. She looks forward to continuing these conversations throughout the year as she leads the organization.
